Throughout the Florida Panhandle, many are still coping with the effects of Hurricane Michael. The Florida Mine Safety Program understands just how difficult these circumstances may be on the community, so we have compiled a few resources for those in need along with organizations that are working to support the Florida Panhandle during this time.

If you are in need of assistance with things such as securing FEMA, document replacement, or filing insurace claims, Florida lawyers are volunteering to assist through a free legal aid hotline (1-866-550-2929). For more information regarding the hotline, click here.

Additionally, the free 2-1-1 Big Bend hotline can assist those in need with with referral services, emotional support, counseling and more.

If you would like to assist with the Hurricane Michael relief efforts, many organizations such as the United Way of Florida, Second Harvest of the Big Bend and the American Red Cross are accepting donations.
