ARLINGTON, Va. – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Mine Safety and Health Administration will hold its annual Training Resources Applied to Mining conference Oct. 11-13, 2016, at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver, West Virginia.

The tuition-free seminar provides opportunities for health and safety professionals to improve their cache of training materials.

The seminar’s 2016 theme, “Tune Up Your Training,” features presentations from some of the industry’s most respected safety trainers on topics such as MSHA policy updates, hazard recognition, mobile crane operation, working in confined spaces and motivating safety. Additionally, vendor exhibits will showcase innovative health and safety products.

Joseph A. Main, assistant secretary of labor for mine safety and health, will deliver remarks at the opening of the conference.
