Title: MSHA 30 CFR Part 48.25 New Miner Training – Surface – M/NM

Course Description: The Part 48.25 New Miner Training (NMT) course is instructed by Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Approved Instructors and all course material meets the standards set forth by MSHA. Total course length is 24 hours, and is organized into three days consisting of twenty (20) hours of New Miner Training Topics and four (4) hours of First Aid/CPR/AED Instruction. Upon completion of the Course, students will receive an MSHA Form 5000-23 certifying that they have completed 24 hours of training for Surface Metal/Non Metal Mines.

Registration Requirements: Tuition Fees or Credit Card Authorizations are due prior to First Day of Course. Acceptable forms of payment include: Check or Money Order payable to “Tallahassee Community College” or any of the following credit cards which will be processed on last day of class: Visa, Master Card or American Express.
Equipment Needs: Bring your Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Steel-Toe Boots or Appropriate Work Shoes and High Visibility Vest as a portion of the Course requires a visit to a local mine site.

Attendance Requirements: Students must attend 100% of the course to receive MSHA 5000-23 certification.
