The Trump Administration continues its quest to ease regulatory burdens and improve the efficiency of government functions by seeking input from the public regarding overly burdensome regulations that should be rescinded or replaced. On April 11, 2025, the White House’s Office of Management and Budget published a Request for Information soliciting feedback from stakeholders on federal regulations that are onerous, outdated, or unnecessary. The goal, according to OMB, is to rescind or replace regulations that “stifle” the dynamism and creativity of American businesses.
To that end, CMC is organizing a business-anonymous Employers OSHA and MSHA Modernization Coalition to identify and recommend to the Administration improvements to a broad range of outdated or unduly burdensome OSHA regulations and policies that need reform.
What Does the Employers OSHA and MSHA Modernization Coalition Intent to Address?
Read the article on our MSHA Defense Report Blog for a sneak peek of specific processes and standards we anticipate addressing in our RFI submission and ongoing advocacy strategy.
We will review that list and solicit input about those and other ideas during the Open Kickoff Meetings and other engagement with Coalition members.
Join Our Employers OSHA and MSHA Modernization Coalition Kickoff Call
CMC invites employers who prioritize their workers’ safety but become frustrated by OSHA’s and MSHA’s sometimes antiquated or onerous regulatory framework to join the Employers OSHA and MSHA Modernization Coalition. The Coalition will be fee-based and will keep the members’ identities anonymous. If you are interested in learning more, we recommend that you and your colleagues attend the Open Kickoff Meetings we are hosting next week.
