The Mine Safety and Health Administration’s Quarterly Stakeholder Call will be on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 11 a.m. to noon.

Assistant Secretary David G. Zatezalo will open the call with remarks about recent developments at MSHA, including efforts to improve efficiency by ‘blurring’ the lines between coal and metal/nonmetal enforcement where it makes geographic sense. Mr. Zatezalo will also be available for questions at the close.

The call will have a primary focus on conveyor safety – a key component of our powered haulage safety initiative. Specialists will cover conveyor guarding, safe maintenance using lock-out/tag-out and blocking against motion, and safe access at crossing points.

Please RSVP for the call here by August 8.

The meeting will be conducted via WebEx.
